BRICK IN THE WALL originate from the world of decoration where the founder Frank Verschuere has noticed the demand for seamless integrated light. One of the first luminaires they experimented was the "Normall", a plaster fitting with a minimalistic design. The possibility to paint the luminaires in the same color as the wall was an added value for his company of decoration. Due to the great success and acceptance of these fittings by quite some architects , Frank Verschuere decided in 2008 to join several Trade Shows as "Hospitality & Design Show"(Las Vegas 2008),"Nordic Building & Construction" (Stockholm 2008). A special range of plaster fittings with a Moorish architecture, were designed for the "index" Trade Show in December 2008 in Dubai.
In 2008, Brick in the wall started collaborating with the lighting design company CEE-ID to develop a complete new collection called "Spring 2009". The basic idea of this collection is to create unexpected and inspiring plaster fittings with light and shape as a true amalgam with the architecture. The first introduction took place at A@work in Kortrijk (Belgium). In May 2009, Brick in the wall moved to a new and larger facility in Waregem (Belgium) close to the E17 highway. Today, Brick in the wall is an international lighting company that offers a complete range of residential, commercial and even custom-made lighting products that can be seamlessly integrated in any office, hotel, or store. Innovative lighting designed to fit and enhance any environment, ranging from architecture all the way to residential lighting.
